They inspire me to be better, do better, and always strive for more. I often say I’m a Jane of all trades, master of none. When I started here, the department hadn’t opened up Field Operations to EMT-B’s yet, so I decided to still pursue an EMS career within the Communications Division. How long have you been with ATCEMS and what motivated you to work here? I was one of two Comm medics in Class 0311 so I’ve been here just over 7 years. Then, I discovered EMS had a shorter and cheaper schooling option, with a quicker entry point into the industry. My initial plan was to pursue a career within the ER.

What inspired you to become a medic/What attracted you to this career choice? I have always been a helper, a doer, a giver. Fun story, the day I moved it was -48* in Alaska and 8 hours later I landed in Houston for a balmy 52*! Apparently motorcycles and snow don’t mix so I made the move here.
